Meeting of the extended working group for the preparation of draft laws in the field of copyright held

Mostar, November 15, 2023 - Meeting of the extended working group for the preparation of the draft of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Copyright and Related Rights and the Law on the Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights was held on November 15, 2023 in Mostar.

At the meeting of the extended working group, the amended preliminary draft of the Law on the Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights and the amended preliminary draft of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Copyright and Related Rights prepared by the experts of the project "EU Support for Intellectual Property Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina" were presented.

After the presentations, constructive discussions were held on the amended preliminary drafts of these two regulations, which are harmonized with the acquis of the European Union and are the result of intensive cooperation between the project "EU support for intellectual property rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina" and the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, collective organizations, users in the field of copyright and related rights, and the academic community.

European Union finances the Project in order to help Bosnia and Herzegovina harmonize legislation with the European legal acquis, improve the competitiveness and innovation of the economy in BiH, by providing necessary expertise and support to the Institute for Intellectual Property and creative industries in BiH.
