Regional seminar on fostering cooperation between collective organizations and regulatory bodies in the Western Balkans held in Belgrade

Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Merdžo and Assistant Director Vesna Vuletić Bebek participated in the 4th Regional seminar on fostering cooperation between collective organizations and regulatory bodies in the Western Balkans, co-organized by CISAC and SOKOJ, which took place on 16 April 2025 in Belgrade.
Latest developments in the field of collective management of copyright and related rights, including legislative framework and cooperation between collective organizations, were presented at the seminar.
Topics of the seminar were, among others: "Artificial intelligence - legal and policy development and the CISAC perspective", "Regulatory framework for state supervision of the activities of collective organizations in the Western Balkans", "Private copying developments in the Western Balkans" and "Balkan Net: a regional example for technology cooperation between collective organizations".
Organizers of the seminar in Belgrade were the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers - CISAC, which brings together more than 227 member societies in more than 116 countries, and the Organization of Musical Authors of Serbia - SOKOJ.
