Sarajevo: Celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day organized by the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina and AMUS

The Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association of Composers- Music Makers (AMUS) are organizing the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day 2025, which will be held at the Sarajevo City Hall on April 25, starting at 2 p.m.
As part of the celebration program, a panel discussion "Music as a Universal Language" will be held, with the participation of Josip Merdžo, Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elvir Švrakić, Chairman of the Steering committee of AMUS, Prof. Emir Mejremić, Prof. Emanuel Josić, author Mirko Šenkovski Geronimo and Mirza Hajrić, as moderator.
The musical part of the program will feature the orchestra and choir of the Academy of Music of the University of Sarajevo, with soloist Veronika Kolak under the conductor's baton of Emir Mejremić, the String Quartet led by Tamara Arsovki, the Chamber Orchestra and conductor Emir Mejremić with the performance of Elegy, and the music program ends with the sevdalinka "Kiša bi pala, pasti ne može" performed by the Chamber Orchestra, choir and soloist Aida Čorbadžić.
World Intellectual Property Day, which is traditionally celebrated on April 26 under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), this year is dedicated to music – the universal language of humanity.
